yes, sylvia, you do get a bill. what you don't understand is that rarely are these bills paid. the debt written off by hospitals is astronomical. if you are in fear of hurting your credit (like that means anything these days), the hospital will work with you to establish payments. some only pay 5.00 per month. at least they are making an attempt. most physicians will adjust their fees under certain situations.
Those of us in the medical field are not the villans. you need to look in a different direction for that one.

More Japan factories? How about another idea, End NAFTA, end the Free Trade Agreement with China,
rebuild American industry with American investment dollars. That will spur the American economy.

Ten Bears is right. This free trade crap has only enabled big businesses to move out of the country, to a country where they can pay workers $10 a day instead of $10 an hour. Example: U.S. businesses fleeing to Mexico.

Let me start by saying that I admire the fact that you are taking responsibility and doing what you can to find work. Rest assured, you will find it if you are diligent and do not give up. I tip my hat to you sir. I will keep my eyes and ears open for you.

That being said, I have had to lay two people off from my company in recent weeks. It is very hard to do this and unfortunately it is not do to lack of work as much as lack getting paid for the work that we have completed. I have notice over the 6-7 months, that the companies that we do work for have gotten very tight about paying on time. After talking to other similar businesses throughout our area, this seems to be the concensus for them as well. My customers claim that they are having trouble getting their money from their customers and I am sure that it goes right up the ladder like that. Our biggest customer, does most of their work for the government. Out of the 5 main companies that we do work for, guess which one is the slowest payer right now??? You guessed it, the one that does the work for the government. It seems that the government is having a little trouble paying its bills..................... And because of that, my cash flow is suffering and has forced me to put two people into the unemployment system.
Needless to say, this customer has not become our biggest priority lately and in all fairness, 4 out of the 5 customers that we have, have all had trouble paying within the agreed terms. BUT, with the modest recovery that we are experiencing, according to BO and the gang, you wouldnt think that the government would be the worst about paying their bills on time, unless................................the recovery is not a recovery. Dare I say that.............???

Don't give up Marlboro. I know exactly what you mean about not being able to find work. My girlfriend has been out of work for almost 2 years, and I lost count how many places, and how many times at some of those places, that she's applied for work. My mom had been looking for work for almost a year and a half, doing the same constant applying for work like you and my girlfriend. Keep being diligent like upisdown said. Something's got to give sometime, hopefully sooner then later.

Have you looked around online? You can apply at just about everyplace there is around here online. I personally would apply at the store and do one online as well (some places you can only apply online though).

i sent jegs a resume and every other place no luck yet.thats all i do is look and send resumes. i would shovel some dog doogy right now i worked some where for eight years and got treated like dirt cant even get my unemployment to pay my bills. they are dirty boy if one of them lost there job and could not get unemployment. they would know how ever one else feels life sucks some times ever body else has to make it harder on you

Not to pry too much, but why are you not drawing unemployment..even when you're terminated, you can request a hearing and often time get rewarded your benefits

I saw a sign at the pizza and stromboli place on the east side of Delaware Avenue near the V cell phone company store. They will be offering delivery soon. Perhaps someone may need a part-time job delivering. Just an idea if anyone is interested.
